How to cook Hakka Noodles

 DO NOT oversoak       Do not refreeze after thawing      USE within 3-5 days of thawing (unopened)
 Do not pull noodles apart before following one of the preparation instructions


Frozen Singapore & Hokkien Noodles

1. Microwave (900W)
Pierce 1-2 holes in bag and microwave on full power for 3-5mins (500g) or 8-10 mins (1kg) or until easy to separate. (Microwave ovens may vary; adjust timing accordingly). Noodles are now ready for use. 

OR

2. Thaw in refrigerator

Thaw noodles in refrigerator at a temperature of 0-5ºC before following instructions (a), (b) or (c). Use the noodles within 3 - 5 days after thawing in refrigerator.





Fresh (or thawed) Singapore & Hokkien Noodles

a) Loosen in bag
Pierce 1-2 holes in bag to allow air to enter. Gently loosen noodles within bag by massaging then remove noodles from bag. Noodles are now ready for use.

OR

b) Microwave (900W)
Pierce 1-2 holes in bag and place in microwave. Heat on full power for 1-1½ mins (500g) or 1½ - 2 mins (1kg) or until easy to separate. (Microwave ovens may vary; adjust timing accordingly). 
Noodles are now ready for use.

OR

c) Blanch
Open bag and submerge noodles in a bowl of boiling water. Slowly untangle the noodles with a fork or chopsticks until separated then remove from water and strain.
Noodles are now ready for use.

OR

d) Boil in bag
Submerge entire packet of sealed noodles in a pot of boiling water until noodles are easy to separate. Empty noodles into a bowl and separate with a fork or chopsticks.
Noodles are now ready for use. 

 Note: Do not refreeze after thawing.

Tip: If storing for later use (same day):
(a) Run noodles under cold water or
(b) lubricate well with vegetable oil to prevent sticking (recommended)
